Yeah, you got the shaft on this one. You got some from the original surge, but then later at night an area of light/moderate rain set up basically right around and north of the HWY 20 corridor.

from DMX regarding this coming monday:
F THINGS COME TOGETHER
IT COULD GET INTERESTING MONDAY EVENING IN CENTRAL IOWA. SHEAR
PARAMETERS ARE VERY FAVORABLE. FINALLY...THE WEATHER PATTERN IS ON
PAR FOR THE TIME OF YEAR. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS SEVERE WEATHER
EVENTS IN CENTRAL IOWA BETWEEN MARCH 31ST AND APRIL 12TH OVER THE
YEARS.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY...USED 12Z ECMWF/GFS TO BASE FORECAST. 12Z NAM

APPEARED TO BE AN OUTLIER. THE ECMWF/GFS WERE SLOWER AND STRONGER

WITH THE SHORTWAVE ENERGY EMERGING FROM THE CENTRAL ROCKIES AT 12Z

MONDAY. BOTH SOLUTIONS BRING A NEGATIVELY TILTED SHORTWAVE THROUGH

CENTRAL IOWA ON MONDAY. THE ECMWF IS NORTH OF THE GFS SURFACE LOW

POSITION AT 00Z TUESDAY. CENTRAL IOWA WILL BE IN THE WARM SECTOR

WITH A COLD FRONT MOVING INTO THE WESTERN COUNTIES BY AFTERNOON

AND A SURFACE LOW EITHER IN NORTHWEST IOWA OR NEARBY. LOOKING AT

THE MODEL SOUNDINGS...THE LIMITING FACTOR FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL

BE TIMING CONSIDERATIONS AND THE AMOUNT OF LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE

TRANSPORTED INTO IOWA AHEAD OF THE SYSTEM. IF THINGS COME TOGETHER

IT COULD GET INTERESTING MONDAY EVENING IN CENTRAL IOWA. SHEAR

PARAMETERS ARE VERY FAVORABLE. FINALLY...THE WEATHER PATTERN IS ON

PAR FOR THE TIME OF YEAR. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS SEVERE WEATHER

EVENTS IN CENTRAL IOWA BETWEEN MARCH 31ST AND APRIL 12TH OVER THE

YEARS.(fromdmx)(also the state we needs to watch is illinois on monday with the severe weather)

47° here. Should hit the mid 50s after the south winds increase a bit and shove the marine air back over the lake.

64 in Cedar Rapids.  Tomorrow should be about as mild.  Unfortunately, after tomorrow the latest Euro suggests we may not even see 50 again until mid April.

Been as high as 51°, which is the current temp. More southerly flow is becoming more direct now.

Not bad considering all that mid 30 degree water to the east.

Just hit 67F...feels amazing out there today!  Couldn't ask for a better opening day at Comiskey Park.  This is a nice way for Mother Nature to deliver the best day of this Spring before I leave for AZ tomorrow morning.  Going to stay out there till the end of April and I saw the forecasts says 80's even possible low 90's next week when the west coast ridge blossoms and a deep trough organizes in the east.

I'll be in and out of the computer out there so enjoy the weather for the next few weeks as I'm sure there will be several storm systems to track.

Been up to 58° or so back home. Clouds knocked it down a little. Enjoy Arizona Tom!

One of these days I'll get out there too!

Backyard thermometer recorded 61° for a high here, before clouds moved in. Starting to notice new shoots of grass poke up.
