Anti Marine Layer
Looks like we got some measurable precipitation yesterday from morning drizzle apparently. However, there were also some thunderstorm clouds visible to the east yesterday afternoon, like a monsoon day, but that was not what brought the measurable precipitation. Anti Marine Layer
Drizzle is falling after a stratus explosion this afternoon. Still reached 80 for the day, despite the deep marine layer.
Reg
We did have some sprinkles here in Murrieta yesterday morning, but not measurable.
Thunder98
The Inversion is so weak that the deep marine layer cloud deck just disintegrated. It's very sunny now.
Anti Marine Layer
Marine layer was warmer than normal for May last night. Last year at this time we had very few nights with a low of 60 or higher and jacarandas did not go into bloom until the middle of June. Anti Marine Layer
Strange weather. Pretty hot when the sun is out, but rather cool when the sun is behind the clouds and the wind starts blowing.

Anti Marine Layer
Lots of clouds in Northern California this morning. Inversion here is still weak. We are in the most boring part of the year of a boring climate.

Too bad this thread is so quiet these days, where is Dan? Congratulations on your new job at NWS Phoenix! Hopefully the region will get some active monsoonal activity this summer! I haven't posted much on here lately, because the weather hasn't been too exciting as of late until today.

Thunder98
This has been the sunniest May ever. There has only been like a couple days that stayed cloudy all day unlike the past 5 years where there was a lot of cloudy days.
Reg
This has been the sunniest May ever. There has only been like a couple days that stayed cloudy all day unlike the past 5 years where there was a lot of cloudy days. I recall May 2009 being primarily sunny and dry for the entire month, but that's the only other May I can think of that was like that in the past 20 years. Also all the hills have yellowed here from this month's earlier heat.
Anti Marine Layer
I think May 2014 was warm. 4 out of the last 5 Mays have been exceptionally cool and cloudy, but this one has been mostly warm to hot except for this Monday and Tuesday.
