I guess this a negative PNA pattern coming up.   Go figure.

50F & drizzle @ 1pm after a night of rolling thunder. A BLESSING. 😍

I stand with Andrew/Jesse et al. This is soooooooooooo much better than 90°F/sunny.

Always about the extremes!

42 is better than 118.   I totally agree with that.

68 and sunny with low humidity beats both of your choices.

I guess cold just means not roasting.

Oops looks like this got buried. Point stands, it definitely hasn’t been a cold spring so far by any stretch of the imagination. And with more mega ridging coming up next week, it’s going to stay on the warm side.

FWIW I’d noticed the young foliage was looking a bit stressed/droopy after so much warm weather without rainfall. Especially the beech and oak trees.

Now they’re literally glowing green. Leaf size has noticeably increased in just the last 24hrs. The trees seem to have needed some cool/wet weather, even if just for 1 day.

Yes... generally rain following warm is the best combination for lush greenery.

Judging by the immediate downvote... you have marked for removal for making too many comments about enjoying sunny days with your kids.    Nothing you post now can undo the damage you have done.  😀

Post about an anniversary with snow covered mountains and cloudy skies.   Downvote that sucker.   That will teach you to post pics of your little kids running through woods and saying you prefer sunny days.   😀

That’s really gross.

Anyway, I think I’ve downvoted like one post in the last two days but keep the slander coming 😂

Really odd post to downvote.  That is some superior grudge holding right there.   I bet @Groundhog is doing serious soul searching now.  😁

Models this morning are more emphatic about a ULL underneath the high later in the run.   This could induce some offshore flow.   Also means the ridge would be more stable.    Or it could disappear on the next round of model runs... or the ULL could end up right over the PNW.   Devil is in the details.   The big anchor troughs to the east and west are in a prime spot for warmth in the PNW on this run.

Downvote, weenie.. same difference. It’s a classic South Park scene. Just a little friendly banter on a Saturday morning, your dedication to the weenie emotes is impressive.

12Z EPS keeps the troughing signals in place to the west and east through the end of the run.

We’re due for some spring troughing. Actually haven’t had a truly stormy May since 2016.

Edit: How tf was that 8 years ago? Time go whooosh.

Though sometimes guidance won’t catch the establishment of the ENSO/low frequency signal until it’s already establishing in real-time. So if/when it happens it’ll probably be something like that.
