Anybody remember this that was forecast for this storm? LOL! Man what was that model run smoking??

There was quite a bit of sleet and freezing rain contamination on that map. One of the things that model has to figure out yet.

Starting to snow in the Loop already. Advisories should cover this event well.

Having no problems with the site this morning.

This is so funny. Im comparing the snows that you guys are getting today with the feet of snows that upstate NY received. Seeing everyone on here getting so excited over a couple of inches and sticking on grassy surfaces is halarious.

Anyways, enjoy the snow today folks. Hopefully, you can make a snowman out of the few inches y'all get today. :D

Edit: My snowcover is gone. It feels so nice outside today, nice N mild.

Snowing up here in Racine now. Hearing reports of moderate to heavy snow in Lake Co.

Down to freezing already and it's barely noon! Hope this can last till 3pm at least.

Ground white across the northern suburbs that I can see on the cameras.

It got white around real quick..at times it was coming down real hard with the wind blowing the snow horizontal.  The southern end of the precip shield is roughly at the I-80 corridor.  ORD may pick up 1" from this but that's about it.  Temp down to 31F.  The CAA as you were thinking came in quicker than the models were forecasting.
