Too much work.

 

I am tired of you guys jumping all over me if the models show something unfavorable.

 

In case you have not noticed... I post most everything.   Good or bad.   It is what it is.   

I didnt't jump you, but don't post about good snow news and not show why.  You are the first to show bad news, and you cannot argue that if you try.

I didnt't jump you, but don't post about good snow news and not show why.  You are the first to show bad news, and you cannot argue that if you try.

 

I show bad news when it shows up and applies.    Whatever.   I will ignore bad and post only good news.    That seems objective.

 

I sat here all day enjoying the snow event to the south and loved watching everyone down there having fun... while others up here were bitching and moaning about being missed out.   

 

And happily reported when the new ECMWF improved with precip amounts for Saturday!

I ended up with about 3/4 inch here tonight. I am thankful for something at least...

 

Wow.   Impressive.   Did not think any of it was accumulating.

Bummer I thought you might get about the same. I got most of it over the last hour but it has been snowing since about 6:30 but it was really light most of the time. A big heavier band came through over the last hour. It might be close to an inch but not anymore than that.

Yeah... I see it on the Puyallup traffic cams now.

 

Amazing.   The swamp beat out my location.  :)

 

Love it!   

 

Assuming too much offshore flow here.   From Covington northward there is nothing.

I give up.  

 

I guess people don't like actual details of the models.

 

Clearly I need to pretend to protect people not near the Gorge (where it should be cold until Monday morning).

 

Its all good.   Cold air will be locked in place and definitely will not moderate.   Snow and very cold in Seattle until the middle of next week.   :)

 

The "like" is for the last paragraph!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Good southerly winds on the 00Z ECMWF on Monday throughout Western WA with 850mb temp around -1C.

 

I don't want to debate... look at the detailed Wundermap site for details.  

 

There is no way that is snow on Monday on that run.

But yet you did not show the improved ECMWF precip amounts, you just said they looked better.

 

All you showed was bad news WRF pictures.

Pretty happy to see the precipitation on the ECMWF on Saturday and what looks like it could be a small overrunning event on Monday. I will keep doing the snow dance and maybe the precipitation will continue to move north.

There is no way that is snow on Monday on that run.   

Wundermap is not very accurate. I am not saying all of that would be snow but with minor surface improvement it could be.

      Are you also gonna gripe about black history month next? You know, when we all recognize their accomplishments despite their very difficult past. GTFO with that nonsense. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a private graduation ceremony for black students that is put on by black students. Quit being jealous of their accomplishments. There is no line between these laws and believing African Americans are incapable following them. More hurdles to vote = less turnout. This is a fact. And those hurdles are doing nothing but reduce turnout, which you obviously would want. Quite the argument lol. Again, the underlying of all of this is you being the victim masked as some feigned sympathy for a different group. It's very transparent.

      May 2024 Observations and Discussion

      The official H/L yesterday at Grand Rapids was 60/46 there was 0.17” of rainfall. The highest wind gust was 35 MPH out of the SW the sun was out 22% of the time. For today the average H/L is now 69/47 the record high of 87 was set in 2022 and the record low of 37 was set in 1981. The most rain fall of 1.43” fell in 1912. Last year the H/L was 79/53. We are now 1/3 of the way through May and the mean at Grand Rapids is 59.3 that is a departure of +3.6 the highest for the month so far is 78 on the 4th and the lowest was earlier today with a low of 41. Here in MBY I got down to 39 overnight and at the current time it is clear and 52.

      Flooding rains are in the forecast the next 2 weeks for Kansas and Missouri starting tonight with up to 2 inches possible by Tuesday afternoon. GFS is showing a lot of rain in the area the next 11 days.

      May 6-9 Multi Day Severe Weather Outbreak

      To the bolded, I remember you saying on here how quiet the summers have been in Michigan and once the Storms/Severe WX return again, you would be getting excited for the following winter. Could next year be the reversal towards a more normal or even better Winter? Sometimes nature does funky things and shows signs of it and I hope to see "real winters" return for the Great Lakes once again. In the meantime, enjoy your summer bud and thanks for stopping by again!

      That was a sarcastic comment because someone here always goes after Mark for his warm bias. Including this time. Presumably because Mark is old and grumpy now and doesn't like the same kind of weather he used to like... and apparently no longer cares about accuracy either.
