I’m probably the furthest from an expert but I agree from just observing models over the years that this is true. This is a weird storm though and if I’m looking at things correctly another storm following it brings like 16” to Texas and even a bit of snow in Florida, so like it wouldn’t really surprise me if it stayed how it is because winters are unhinged nowadays let’s be honest
