Maybe I'll regret saying this, but overall I don't think January will be as futile as December from a snowfall perspective outside of the lake belts. The cold will *probably* have a bit more staying power than it did in December and the longer that the cold can stay around, the more likely it is that we'll run into some snow systems. Ideally I'd like that trough to retrograde in the means for more frequent/bigger storm chances but we'll have to see if that unfolds.
