I lived in Japan. We never had a shutdown or whatever, but we had many obnoxious curfews and masks were required until May 2023. Crossing the border was nearly impossible for years. Firing employees is generally not legally permissible in Japan but in lieu of that I was banned from my company office for like a year because I didn’t get boosted lmao. (I did receive the first two shots) I am now a pro labor right winger and I will hold a grudge about it forever.
