Yeah... its amazing how warm 58 degrees and a little humid feels after the cold and snow/ice pellets/hail of last week.

Humid and 58 degrees is an oxymoron.

I knew you would say something about that.  🙄

The air does feel different and more damp (which is technically more humid) this week compared to last week with dewpoints in the 20s.    More humid does not have to mean its uncomfortable.    The increase in humidity this week is actually more comfortable.

I actually agree that it does feel humid, would feel much nicer with a dry airmass and low dewpoints.

I’ve never heard the word “humid” used to describe temperatures in the 50s with dewpoints in the 40s. It’s like saying butterflies are evil. The two just don’t compute.

Got it Phil.

There are varying degrees of humidity.    Dewpoints in the 40s definitely feels more humid than dewpoints in the 20s.

Very nice. I could go for a near average May. Normal temps/precip would be very pleasant.

On the bus to today’s mariners game and things are turning very bubbly outside. Radar is blowing up the the south in advance of clearing here. Hoping to get some lightning!

Cell to my west is a juicy one. Thing is bubbly as hell visibly with a nice defined, very dark base. Healthy returns on radar too. It’s not done strengthening and I’d be surprised if it didn’t drop a bolt!

Unfortunately I’m headed south as we speak, so I’ll miss it if it trends over my place

Have fun at the game. I've been to a few Mariners games, but never in Seattle. Would love to get up there for a game sometime.

It’s a nice park, you should definitely go if you get the chance. Tix are cheap too, especially on value days like today. I got a nosebleed for 10 and tax with a great view of home plate.

My life long dream is what you have right there!  Being on a deck (water and sunset view) enjoying a cocktail watching Mother Nature doing her thing!   I put money down on a house over near you (Chambers Bay Area ) with that view but pulled the deal as it just didn’t  feel right. Still love my location and I’m ok with the 5 minute drive to enjoy!!! I’m sure your not taking that view for granted and I sure do enjoy your photos.

According to Phil you are mistaken, you cannot detect humidity in the air at this temperature.

No wind or lightning up here either.....or rain for that matter.  There is sun though, and has been for a good chunk of  the afternoon.  However, I don't know if there is humidity.

My weather station says there is 62% humidity, but I'm calling bullsh*t.  If we can't tell, how can my weather station?
