Not sure what all of the griping is about. At face value the models indicate we could have a white Christmas. All it would take is precip with weak offshore flow. By far the best looking ECMWF run yet today. I almost hate coming on here when we have a decent shot at a cold spell because everyone is always so D**n negative about it.

Watching Alaska State Troopers right now and there appears to be a lot of snow on the ground. Hard to think that won't head our way at some point.

Definitely not torchy this month.    Thank God its not warm like December of 2014!

He said nothing about highs in the 20s, he said nothing about an arctic blast, he gave no guarnatees, he's just being optimistic based on the pattern looking quite decent. 500mb pattern this December is far better than last year... Hasn't stopped snowing here since 10pm last night. There's at least a foot of snow on the ground, probably more but I suck at estimating and I don't have a ruler.

 

My first year of college in Oklahoma we had a massive 14" snow dump with a blizzard on 11/30/06. Great memories! Have fun.
