The cold air will be lifting out before the system arrives, which seems to be a trend this winter. By the time the system revs up and pulls in cold air and moisture, it'll likely be well to our east. One issue is that the jet stream is still streaming off the Pacific fast. Once we get closer to February it should start to subside.
