The heavy snow has definitely reached its peak here in Red Wing. Meanwhile, I'm more tipsy than j-Kwon after getting blasted off a keg, so I'm not sure if I'll be up to witness it all night. Gotta love spring break! Planning on downing some coffee here soon, but I think MAYBE we'll get 8", but there will definitely be more south near GoSaints. Congrats man! Should be an awesome night!

Keep on expanding that second band!

Models continuing to run too warm in the area, so could see more of that rain tomorrow flip to snow early.

Down to 35.1°

Of that second definitely forms, when does that start 1pm? Sitting at 32 right now.

About that. NAM keeps you below freezing now from here on out. Sleet and freezing rain should be the precip type for the next 14 hours.

Front was supposed to be on the rebound several hours ago, but there is no sign that it will.

Winter radar showing James getting dumped on with snow now.

Sleet transition is taking place about 30 miles NW of here. BUU reporting it. Just dropped down to 34.7°.

If I could post videos on here, I'd love to show you guys the one I had about 45 minutes ago. It had to be 3-4" rates for like 20 minutes. Unreal. Slowed down and continues to fizzle, but that was truly amazing.

I was watching TWC earlier and reports of 3-4"/hr in S MN were coming in. Definitely believe it! The roads looked like a disaster. Congrats man! Now it's GoSaints/James turn.

Thinking once that band hits, sleet could start. It's acting to cool the atmosphere at the northern end. Mixing indicated in western Racine County now. 0.11" of rain so far. 34.5°

GFS passing the low where the EURO had it at 12z.

Freezing line in southern Milwaukee County now back towards Lake Geneva, WI.

Radar looks really patchy in your area Snowshoe, not sure what to make of it. Hopefully that band will start to form better as moisture comes up.

I was hoping you were getting dumped on James.

EURO no longer showing rising temps in the morning, just steady and then downhill going towards late morning. Should be snowing by 3pm.

SLP never went up into the corner of NW MO. Will probably follow the front just north of I-70 tonight.

Blizzard warning for the Green Bay area is pretty weak--- wind wise.  1/4SM VIS and winds are not present--- see definition of a Blizzard.

The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
