Corbett, on Larch Mt. it is actually snow now mixing with freezing rain and sleet, kind of bizarre. I wasn't expecting that seemed like things were warming up and the big thaw was on, but maybe not so fast.

Very strange, and pertinent data for us east countyers. Cooler upper levels are not progged to begin moving in until maybe 10 tonight (850s are actually near their peak right now) so not sure what is causing the cooling up there.

Salem and Albany score with the 18z GFS , stronger low not filling as rapidly.

Actually seeing a lot of big wet flakes mixing in with the rain here.

I currently have anything that can possibly fall from the sky...falling from the sky!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Moderate rain now. KLMT may not be reporting this (when do they ever? lol) but it's significantly increased in intensity.

Ive never seen a low come onshore north of Astoria like that and not hit the puget sound. ??

It seems clear that the models want to continue the trend of splitting a lot of the energy near us next week. Means not a lot of widespread fun, there will be fairly localized winners and losers for the most part.

You will likely change back over to snow later tonight.

Maybe for a brief period. The majority of the precip through tomorrow should still be rain or very cold rain.

Almost all snow here now. I have no idea how that can happen with the warm air aloft.

Could be some thicker cold air in your area thanks to the gap in the Cascades at Snoqualmie. Combine that with some wet bulb happening in the mid levels like we saw yesterday and that could explain the changeover.

Saw this picture of people skating on Green Lake yesterday.

Doesn't look safe at all, but the fact it was even possible is incredible. The area by those diving boards is at least ten feet deep.

Do you have a link to the current upper air map.   I would like to know what the actual 850mb and 925mb temps are here right now.
