July 2017 PNW Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

To answer your other question, we might be visiting other extended family in the vicinity of your area on Monday before we we depart for Vancouver, BC on Tuesday. We return July 31st and will be hanging around through August 1st thereafter.

We depart for Sarasota FL late in the evening on August 1st.

So most of your trip is in Vancouver BC... beautiful city.   Hopefully you can explore that area... maybe some people on here can you give you ideas for activities up there.

Sounds like you will not make it out to North Bend.   The drive from Bellevue to Snoqualmie Pass along I-90 (through North Bend) is gorgeous and there are lots of hiking trails all over the place if you have time on Monday.    Its much more mountainous and lush than the Everett area.    It takes about 45 minutes to get to North Bend from Everett.   And another 20 minutes to get to Snoqualmie Pass.

You can also visit your old stomping grounds around Stampede Pass... lots has changed and its growing fast!  You might not recognize it.

Only 52 more weeks to go until there are 8.4 weeks left until the autumnal equinox.

And in just a mere 26 weeks we are gaining something like 22 minutes of daylight in the last 10 days of January and the cherry blossoms will be getting ready to open!

We're considering a hike, actually. I'll post pictures and video so Jesse doesn't think I'm making it all up. ;)

Up to 71 at SEA now... might end up with no high temperature below 70 for July.   Also a possibility that there is no high above 90.

Every high temp this month so far at SEA has been between 70-85.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any more perfect.

A forum for the end of the world.

It looks like the PDO is crashing now... this is the 7-day change.   A negative PDO and a ENSO neutral winter sounds like a good recipe to me.

Here is the ECMWF surface map for Monday.   Looks like an absolutely perfect PNW summer day.

I'm kinda worried that I'll lose the heat tolerance I've built up over the last 6 weeks being out on the Canadian waters for three days. Either way it'll be worth it, though. :P

There's simply no way the human body can build tolerance to constant 145 degree heat indices.

So you decided joking about child porn actually was in poor taste and deleted your post? Good choice.

I don't think he wants to go down last year's road when the n-word apparently became short term comic gold.

You were the one who made the initial porn joke. Stop crying and get over it. All I wanted was help with the Euro site.
