Man, its ripping nickel/quarter size flakes sideways right now and sticking to everything that is facing north!  Probably another 1-2 hours left of the heavy stuff up this way.  I'm sitting at about 1" now.

Midwest, your probably have another 2-3 hours or more.

Can't wait to see how all this snow looks like tomorrow morning.  Everything is coated with a blanket snow.  Should be a winter wonder land out there manana.

Geo's, to bad your not getting in on the action.  This is something you would love to see this winter.  Finally a wet snowfall...1st of the year.

SE MI looks like they can easily get 6-10" out of this...some deep moisture coming out of N IN heading right up your alley...its snowing at about 1"/hr over here right now.  You should see some very heavy snowfall rates out of this puppy.

There are going to be some lollipop totals near the Joliet area.  It has been snowing heavily in that area for hours.

Just measured 2.3" and its still snowing heavily and the defo band looks very solid still in NE IL.  I may crack 4" out of this one.  I can't wait to take some pictures tomorrow.  The whole scene is pure white out there!

@ Midwest, no kidding, this stuff is very wet.  Temps are still near 32F.  Models had temps down in the upper 20's by now.  If this was a colder storm I could see totals being way up there.

Already had 4" at home when I left for work about 7am. Heavy, heavy snow with near-bliz conditions were ongoing. Went the back roads to avoid the dreaded "freeway" and all its Truckers. Had to be some 1 foot drifts on the E-W roads I was driving through. Fun stuff this morning, for sure! :)
