I just measured 3.4" at 2:15. Should coast our way to 4.0". Surprised for sure.

I should hit 4" at 3pm.  We actually have an outside shot at 5".  I certainly never expected that.

season snowfall: 34.8"

'22-23: 30.2"      '21-22: 27.1"      '20-21: 52.5"      '19-20: 36.2"      '18-19: 50.2"      '17-18: 39.5"

Average snowfall: ~30"

Washington, DC was expected to get 1-2 inches according to a TWC forecast I saw a day or two ago.  Now the forecast is up to 8.

Another 0.5" last hour, up to 4.1" now.  Given the radar loop, we have a decent shot at 5".

Virga storm per radar currently. Glad to see Iowa, NIL, Tom's turf, etc scoring more than expected. Still riding my imaginary 1" line over here

I seriously am a bit jealous cuz it's a nice system and I can't participate with reports, etc.. but I was scoring back in Nov when others weren't plus read my signature, over the past decade I've been blessed with 3.5 extra season's worth of snowfall - zero complaints my fellow snow weenies of America  ;)

There’s been an area of enhanced returns over CR/Linn for several hours and it hasn’t moved. I just measured 4.5”.

Radar is now showing the first sign of the nice bands waning a bit and breaking up.  We probably have an hour of good snow left, followed by some light snow to finish.

I don't think we're going to make 5".  After the 4.6" measurement the rate dropped considerably.  Now, it's barely snowing.  Radar suggests a bit of light snow and flurries is all we have left.

20 miles between Des Moines airport and Indianola, Iowa. I am basically in the middle, yet further west. Anyways, Indianola has 7.2, I am at 6.1 and airport at 5.3. Northern parts of Des Moines at 4.4. While southern Iowa got near or over a foot. Models did pretty well all things considered for the Des Moines metro. Although the 12+ totals weren't predicted. Sadly this total nearly tripled my total from this winter so far, so I will gladly take it!

Airport finished with a storm total of 4.3". That's a 2.2" difference across the city. This one will go down in the records as another puny nickel and dimer, though in reality this was way more than that. Bleh.

It's been changed to 4.8" now. Storm total in Norfolk: T. If anyone from there has ever lurked on this board, we probably scared them away.

My snow total is 4.8".  My liquid total is 0.46".

My main snow board ended up with 4.5", but the two small boards were cleared at the halfway point and their two measurements added up to 4.8".

Gauge catch was 0.43", while the core sample was 0.46".

Right at 3 inches for me. wind really whipping now. I was concerned with the short range models were showing nothing for here. looks like the NAM did a really good job

Dittos for here. Last night only 1 SR model RGEM had any snow here at all. Peeps say ignore globals and ride SR models yet the EC and GFS both showed snow and were correct. Measured the 1/2" I posted about earlier and still lightly snowing. Went to Kzoo and even I-94 was snow covered due to a slow response by MDOT. Don't think they were expecting anything tbh. GRR this morning had lowered my chances of snow to 40% so I wasn't expecting it tbh. Got a bone tossed my way tho so no complaints. With the wind blowing snow off the roofs of buildings and stinging my face it really felt like January. Also, while all the Marshall plow piles from Nov disappeared with that last warm rainer there was actually still a 10 ft pile at a store lot in Kzoo from the November storm. Pretty amazing after weeks and weeks of mild spring-like temps.

Up to 2.8" as light snow continues to fall...would be nice to crack 3"...2-3" was the range I was hoping for so I'm pleased with this snowfall.  Can't wait to see what daylight brings as the landscape has transformed into white gold.
