my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.

I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
The EPS may lean dry but it lacks the granular resolution to resolve small scale precip opportunites. Not that it's wrong, but there may be more opportunities than it wants to let on.
Need to see mean trough position offshore for a wet pattern. Not sure we are due for anything though. Southern parts of the region have been very wet recently.
It's not warmer than normal... but mean trough position is to the east across the northern US and that is a dry pattern for us. I never said it was real warm. But it has trended much less troughy over the last couple days.
