It's the classic case of sure the weather can always find a way to screw it up, but at this range, it's about as good as we can hope for. We can definitely say there is a chance, regardless of whether it materializes.

Looking at the national temperature map you can see the wrath of the Pacific beginning to wipe out the cold in spectacular fashion. Even Wyoming barely has a freezing temp to be found right now. A nice middle finger to almost everyone's hope for a White Christmas by the time it's over.

There was quite a bit of sun in your area while you were gone earlier this month, ironically.
