Been coming down pretty good at times this morning and they are the bigger, fluffier flakes that are a lot easier to see than the small, dry flakes we normally get. Still hasn't added up to much more than a strong dusting but at least it's very pretty to watch. Picture doesn't really do it justice. Also, yes, my candy canes have taken a beating with some recent winds. They'll be taken down this weekend when it's closer to 30 degrees than 0, like it was this past weekend. No fun taking Christmas lights down when apparent temperatures are in the negatives.

The GFS and GEM this morning are going to be a good test of @RentonHill's theory. They are very different across Eurasia by day 7.5

Sometimes "Office" jobs are not completely that. A lot of my career I was a Prod. Mgr., or QA Mgr. Always machining and fabrication shops. I have worked up to 70 hrs a week making sure that production was what is was supposed to be. I should have stayed a machinist, I would have been better off. Funnest job ever was doing on-board inspection and approval of ship board OEM bearing systems for Navy and Coast Guard vessels. Lots of travel.

Pretty frosty down here this morning, but the winter is just as disappointing as it was yesterday.

It's funny this GFS fails so badly during the period we've been looking at it actually sets up another piggy back possibility afterward.
