We really needed that game last week…

Its probably irrelevant... they just aren't a good team and they are going to lose the next 3 games in similar fashion as tonight.

So, reading through the comments looks like I didn't miss anything last night other than a team getting humiliated.  I already endured enough of that last weekend watching my MSU Bobcats get crushed by the Griz.  🤦‍♂️

Wow, the Seahawks are as good as the Jets!!

I was thinking the same thing today.   I hope the Seahawks were watching and came to the same realization.   They suck.

Beavers keep going for it on 4th down in FG range and failing.   Chasing points is so stupid.   They could easily have 9 more points and the score would be 21-16 instead of 21-7.

One can hope the Huskies lose.

The Apple Cup is sort of irrelevant now other than for a perfect season.   It all comes down to the championship game and the Huskies will not beat the Ducks again.   They have about as much chance as the Seahawks did last.

I also assume the game tomorrow will come down to the last 5 minutes as always.   Like the Seahawks... the Huskies don't beat any team easily.   Oregon has no problem blowing the doors off even good teams.    The Huskies barely hung on to beat the Beavers last week.   The Ducks are crushing the same team with ease.

The fact some are celebrating that the "apple cup" will go on for another five seasons is dumb, no rivalry game like that should ever take place in September and the Huskies are no longer a washington  team, only by postal zip code at best.  The Cougs and EWU or CWU should start a little rivalry, that would be funner.

I think its good that they will play each other every year.   Hope it goes on beyond the next 5 years.

Whatever the outcome tomorrow the Huskies are going to be embarrassed by Oregon in the championship game.  I can’t stand the Ducks I can’t stand their coach and I can’t stand the Phil Knight money train, but I do think Oregon is the best team in the country.

Yeah... last chance to avoid that disaster was tonight and its not even close.     Its going to leave a bitter taste after what will likely end up being a perfect 12-0 season.

We can only hope that the meat head Oregon coach dude will make some boneheaded decisions again.

I expect Washington to move up to 2 or 3 with next weeks rankings. Oregon will move up to 4 and replace Mich/Ohio State.

Michael Penix will put on a show next Friday at Alegiant Stadium. It wouldn't surprise me if both Washington and Oregon both make the CFP.

Considering the east coast bias it would take a very narrow win by Oregon over Washington and a blowout by OSU over Michigan coupled by a Florida State loss to even make that possible.  Most likely none of the above will happen except possibly the Florida State loss in my opinion.

.Interesting.    A 3rd game between the Huskies and Ducks would also be possible with that scenario.

If Michigan loses tomorrow, there done. Their resume is garbage. Florida State isn't that impressive to me. They'll lose either tomorrow or next week against louisville.

I do think this can get messy though. Imagine this scenerio.

Alabamba beats Georiga - Oregon over Washington (close game) Would this be the top 4?

OSU must be there still since they would be undefeated but if Alabama wins convincingly they might be one of the four leaving Georgia, Oregon, Michigan and Washington to fill the two spots left.  I think they would keep Georgia and Oregon leaving Michigan and Washington in the Rosebowl.  That would be a great matchup!

Actually I just noticed that the Rosebowl is a CFP semi-final this year. So I agree that would be a great matchup lol

It’s why the October matchup was essentially meaningless. Of course Oregon could still beat UW and miss the playoff. This will likely happen if Florida St wins out and Alabama beats Georgia.

These two posts seem contradictory? UW is now in control of their destiny...win out and they make the CFP.

That would not be the case if they had lost in October.

Well my comment to Tim was more theoretical. He said the game today is meaningless. Which isn’t true, IF UW lost today it wouldn’t matter if they beat Oregon by 100 next week they still wouldn’t be in. UW won’t lose today though.

As Oregon fans we knew the Ducks weren’t going to lose to anyone else, so the October game was whatever. Don’t want to show them the kitchen sink if we are going to have to play them again.

I disagree

If Oregon bears UW, there both in. I don't care if Florida State goes undefeated, Oregon has a better resume and they've been dominant.

Florida State has had some close calls. BC comes to mind.

If Oregon barely gets by the UW I agree that they would both deserve to be in but I really doubt the committee would go for it if Florida State remains undefeated.  They would never leave an undefeated power 5 champ out of the CFP unless everyone else was undefeated

Probably true.   I was thinking a 1-loss winner of the Pac12 championship would be in but maybe not if that loss is to the Cougs.

I have no hope of that... just wondering if a one score win by Oregon can still get both the Huskies and Ducks into the CFP?   Probably needed Ohio State to win for that to happen.
