Not PNW related, except for myself being from there, but Im giddy and borderline manic, so who cares.

I dont think I have ever been this excited for any weather event in my life.

I want updates and pics!   We can live vicariously though you.   :)

Other places are seeing snow. But here isn't. I like snow. This climate sucks. Except when its snowing here and other places aren't seeing snow. Then it's ok.

<_>

It like it best when I get snow and everyone else gets rain.

So true!! :) 97.152738% sure it will NOT happen in our lifetimes.

would be near impossible for the westside lowlands in most locations,  the gorges and higher elevations could achieve it relatively easy in the right setup.  hard to get that much cold air with that much moisture without the continental influence wrapping around the NW side of a low on this side of the US.

speaking of warm rain, this winter has caused all sorts of mud flows and landslides near my house, and they keep getting worse.  The county has been up my road nearly once a week to clear something in a 3 mile stretch from the highway to my house.  early this week they scooped a bunch of dirt out from slides and drainage ditches near the road, and threw a bunch of straw on the exposed mud.  almost all of it has since flowed into the drainage ditch already, and there was another small tree blocking a lane this morning coming into town.  it has been commonplace here this winter.

Well, honestly I will not take credit for that post. I got all my information from Cliff Mass... Glad you liked it.  -_-

Everyone gets that you aren't feeling good about our chances for anything ever.

Probably best not to be a broken record about it.

he can have his 60s to help melt his feet of snow.  it would get annoying after awhile.  The pattern looks goof and agrees with the gfs, not a longshot, and things could be even better than advertised (or worse of course)  but for now, ill take it.  The pattern around christmas didn't really start looking great until just a few days before and it my far and away overachieved here.

Most inaccurate post of the year... I will feel good about our chances when the chances are more likely... DID you see my post yesterday showing potential or did you just blow off those.... As far as our chances of 2 to 3 ft of snow with blizzard conditions?  Well, Not likely!  Dang you're sensitive.

Accurate and true... keeping it real, the pattern never looked great for lowlanders over here but had carrots of hope... We shall see how this little whimper turns out. Something to watch at least. :)
