The media needs Trump and Trump needs the media and they both are good at trolling each other. It's quite fascinating, and going to be interesting to watch how it plays out the next four years.

Part of me thinks that's why the democrats and media have pushed back so hardly against Trump. Sure, he has a certain amount coming to him via his own actions/words but he is also threatening some longtime Democrat strongholds with both viewpoints and actions:

I watched a fascinating documentary last night on Nat Geo about post WWII Europe and the rampant nationalism at that time after Germany fell.   

 

It was absolutely shocking what happened.    Here is an example that was in the show last night:

Its easy to go way too far in the name of nationalism.   The vast majority of people are innocent and just trying make a good life for themselves and their family.

I'm just gonna walk away from this one. Trumps behavior throughout the campaign and now leading up to and continuing after the Inauguration speaks for itself. He is an incredibly divisive figure and he has brought almost all of it upon himself. Feel free to continue to play dumb/Devil's advocate though. It is what you do best.

I don't recall anyone at Fox News giving Trump the questions to the debate before hand, as CNN did for Hillary. Or anyone at Fox News attending a private dinner party at Trump's campaign manager's house prior to covering the election, as CNN anchors did for Hillary/Podesta. I also don't recall anyone at Fox News asking the RNC for questions to ask at a hosted debate, as CNN did to the DNC.

 

Don't go down that road. It's incomparable. There is a difference between bias and straight-up collusion.

Uh no. They're both equally biased to their side. I will admit Fox hasn't been as bad the last year (as they usually are), but I think that may be due to them being less enthusiastic about Trump for awhile. Overall, they're both terrible and shouldn't be watched.

Trump has been hitting some home runs the last couple of days. Pretty obvious anyone who thought he would become more mainstream is going to be wrong. I must admit I never thought I would see the day where the labor unions would be gushing about a Republican President. Mainly because he is going to scrap or renegotiate those horrible trade deals that both parties are responsible for. I think it really knocked the dems for a loop when the union leaders basically made Trump sound like the second coming.

 

My favorite so far has to be the Federal hiring freeze though. All we need to do is wait for employees to leave and we can prune the Federal government work force by attrition.

 

The man is serious. No two ways about it.

There are enough peaceful countries in the Middle East that refugees can go to. Qatar is one. Why do they want to come here when they can live with their people? Also the ban on Muslim immigrants is only temporary.
