Everyone should get a participation snowman built right in their front yard regardless of it's just a mere dusting, or a 12"+ Snowstorm! Al Gore can hand out ribbons saying [You tried, nice effort on the forum] Why Al Gore? I have no idea.

When the temp difference is about 20 degrees between regions this coming winter it needs to be separate.

Yes. Perhaps, but I can't remember the last time I was jealous and it then turned into fits of anger because you were 25 degrees with 6+" of snow and I suffered in 47 degree rain. Lol. This Forum is fine the way it is. If some Adults can't handle the fact that we're not all going to score in the Wintry fun at the same time and they think we need separate sections for Canada, Washington or Oregon, they need to put on their big boy(or girl) pants and stop being a baby.

It could easily be 60 F+ if you're talking about southern Oregon to southern B.C.

Still about a week out - plenty of time for the models to change their tune and bomb it off the coast to a sub-970mb low.

 

Unfortunately, even in that situation, Andrew's location would still register below 3mph. Such is the life...

That low peaks and slowly weakens, but still has quite a tight gradient couplet with it. I see a max PDX-EUG gradient of -10mb. If verified that is easily Wind Advisory criteria 50mph gusts. Possibly more.. It's worth keeping an eye on.

That might not be too shabby of an idea. Perhaps a geographically-initiated ignore function? The sting of a Frasier River outflow snow post will be a thing of the past just like Furbees and fidget spinners!
