Picked up 10" so far with this storm. Still snowing heavily and 24F. 

Back up to about a 3ft base. It's been quite the season. We've had over a foot of snow on the ground since early November with the brunt of the winter well over 2ft on the ground. Will likely have to wait until April to see our grass this year.

The Euro is beautiful! Hard to imagine the region getting hit with the third Arctic blast of the season but it's looking more and more likely. What a season for the West!

February 2011 redux?!

Some decent snow in places per the 12Z ECMWF... all of this comes Wednesday into Thursday.

And of course Cannon Beach is buried as usual.    Have they reached 100 inches of snow this winter yet?

Yeah, the west as a whole has already seen two Arctic blasts this season. You've had one solid one and you were brushed by the late January one.

It’s always a balancing act. You need overwater trajectory to bring snow. But too much and the arctic front gets hung up over southern BC.

EPS is pretty messy afterwards but looks generally similar to GEFS/GEPS.

EPS has been a little behind other ensembles trends lately.

That woman's map is not at all accurate. It looks like Oregon has no mountains when the Cascades average 4K to 5K throughout the state with several volcanoes in central Oregon over 10K. Where did she get that?

Ended up picking up about 1/4” of snow here. Was falling really beautifully at points last night but just couldn’t get sustained precip. Glad we stayed up to watch it fall/go for a walk at least. It was mostly gone by morning and is all gone now.

Mostly cloudy and 37 currently after a low of 32.

Looks like it. We picked up another 173" between Feb and March 2011 but we had a 6 week melt period starting Jan 2011.

This season we are already at 198" and have almost no melting. If this season stays active we could see some in town snow depths reaching the really epic years like 1951-1952 or 1968-1969!
