It stings more now, maybe the WA cascades are in decent shape but the OR cascades snow pack is really sad. 50F+ sunny weather is the last thing it needs.

Spring is a weird, fractured season for the Cascades in that it typically happens to start early on January 1 and then ends late around mid June. With a 59 (sometimes 60) day break between February 1 and March 31.

Eh, depends what part of the “West” you’re talking about. In the PNW, warmest anomalies of the winter occurred in January (unless late Feb/early Mar spikes warmer).

 

January also has 5 days left to run.

We don't have hot and humid here... not a concern.
