Also I think you meant Christian nationalists. Today on Politico, you are considered a Christian nationalist if you believe that rights are endowed by the Creator. Time to throw out the Declaration of Independence. That's hate speech now.

How about someone who is a progressive Christian who says you must fully approve of LGBTQ people because Jesus would have done so. Is that person a Christian nationalist if he makes a law that you must do so? What about Karl Marx? Was he a secular nationalist?

Democrats have been calling Republicans fascists ever since Ronald Reagan, much like Republicans overuse the words socialist and communist. However both Patrisse Cullors and Richard Delgado have openly called themselves Marxists. Did they misspeak? Did some conservative confuse them to make them think they were Marxists?

Yes, that’s terrible. And it is likely to provoke a new wave of immigration from Haiti to the USA.

Then again, there are corpses in the street with nobody to take them away promptly in Gaza yet many (and no, I am not saying that you are one of them) seem to think that is just legitimate foreign policy by a valued ally.

So as usual the standards for what is acceptable or not are subjective and thoroughly politicized.

I’ve probably seen more national elections than anyone one this board.  I can honestly say they always have a point when it gets nasty.  It got nasty with JFK with commentators taking jabs at his uncontrolled personal life.  On TV they had to watch what they said but some print material was in bad taste by the standards of the day.  

This is tame so far.  But I’m waiting for the on camera rant as in a one on one interview.

There’s plenty of material against both candidates. It isn’t necessary, as people aren’t deaf or blind   They know what they’re dealing with. What’s sad is both sides have better potential candidates.They just aren’t “charismatic”.

Trump shouldn't be doing that (also when he appeared to mock that disabled reporter years ago).  It shows what kind of person he is.

That being said, let's say someone really likes Trump's policies and really dislikes Biden's policies.  Are they supposed to weight decency above all else and not vote for Trump?  It's a tough call.  Same thing if it were reversed.

True I dislike and distrust all politicians. I simply vote for conservative principles but not any individual politician. I like the list of things Trump either accomplished (SCOTUS / Paris Accord / Border / Correct trade imbalance etc.) or tried to accomplish (repeal ObamaCare / Build the wall etc.)

Not surprising.  Many countries that have swung left find the social programs draining their coffers pretty fast.  
Too many in need and not enough payers.  Portugal has a high number of retirees I understand from other nations.  
Gathering taxes to fund public coffers may be difficult.  
However, Portugal and Spain are beautiful, great people and food.
