Bull fuc*ing s*it. You are a troll through and through.  You don't care about facts or truth or anything else aside from your extremely narrow view of this world.

I'm not gonna engage with someone who I have zero respect for.  Less than zero, in fact.

It's sad because at one point in these topics, you were normal and reasonable.  Something changed the last 3 or 4 years.

Let's start with the obvious.  The left have become a joke for some time.  Just like the right.  You don't need Bill to make that observation clear.

No.  Bill has always been an uber smug douchebag, but he has become more crotchety and prone to latch on to some more illogical right wing talking points lately.  He is also far less likely to take those on the right to task like he used to.  He's become more of a populist and a bit lazy with his editorials.  It's been noticeable by me and many of his longtime fans.

When he's on he's on.  When he's not, you just want to punch the guy.

And his pro-Israel bias and lack of knowledge of the history of the Middle East is downright ignorant.  Had to add that.  No particular reason 🤫

Boeing should be ERASED and sent to the dustbin of history. How many people will have to die for corporate greed. Their entire fleet should be grounded immediately. Airbus is a far superior aircraft anyways. The people who greenlit the 737 Max should be tried for murder.

Try worrying about something else in your life aside from foreigners for a change.

It’s an important element in all western nations. Many that don’t use fencing have border guards with ARs.
Try slipping into “fence less” Switzerland. You’ll be staring down the barrel of a rifle.  I’ve seen it.  Same in many other nations.
It helped a great deal in the US. In the end people on the border and policy are the answer.  We need to control entry and with the fentanyl problem out of control life here will only get worse.  Just ask the families of those killed by illegals or fentanyl.
It’s a mess and it needs to be addressed.

I'm going to France in 2 weeks and intentionally booked a flight with airbus.  Between the Netflix and Frontline documentaries and the news coming out of random stuff happening to Boeing planes, I just didn't want to take the risk.  Probably a bit irrational but I'm of the opinion "when it rains, it pours" with this stuff.

Fentanyl should also be classified as a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" because of how low the lethal dose is, plus it's so easy to wipe out many with it. There is likely more than 5x the amount needed to wipe out the entire population of the United States that has been smuggled through the border illegally.

There is also likely enough to wipe out the entire world. 😬

I got introduced to Coleman Hughes when a clip of his interaction on The View went viral recently. Here's that segment of their show, if you're curious.

Putting aside their obvious disdain for this man and Sunny Hostin's incredibly rude and condescending manner in questioning him, I heard him talk about some really interesting ideas - ideas that, IMO, should be considered common sense but are unfortunately labeled "radical right wing talking points" by ignorant people like Sunny.

Coleman makes the case for a true "color-blind" society where we acknowledge that people are obviously different races (in contrast to the folks who like to say "I don't see color" as if that makes them non-racist) but that we should focus on socio-economic classes in order to better address the issues of today. He talks about eliminating race-based government policies that group people based on their skin color (ie if you are black, you are automatically at a disadvantage and should be given preferential treatment) in favor of policies that look at other metrics such as income, crime, family wealth, etc. in order to determine who in our society needs additional help and who doesn't. He also talks about how Robin DiAngelo and Kendi's views on racism are fundamentally racist themselves, quoting D'Angelo in saying "I strive to be less white, and by being less white, I'll be less ignorant", and how that type of viewpoint does more harm than good in trying to fight racism.

He comes across as an incredibly intelligent, rational, calm, collected young mind that I think our country would really benefit from listening to more often. Below is another recent interview he did on PBS, which is much more fair and actually allows him to get his points across without ad hominem attacks. I highly suggest a watch if you have the time. Very interesting stuff.

Totally.

Oh, resuced a nice non- poisonous snake today. Three guys working in my yard were freaked out. I got there in time to save him.
Nice little 30” snake. Perfectly docile.
I gathered him up and released him somewhere safer.

Poor guy was just looking for bugs.

I hear you.  Irrational?  Yes, but I'm in the same boat and feel the same irrational fear.  I need to fly to South Carolina to see my mom.  I need to fly Alaska so I can use miles for the ticket but they are "proudly all Boeing" once again, and I'll inevitably be on a -900 or -900ER.  Chances of something happening are somewhere between slim and none, leaning heavily towards none, but I would really love to do that flight on an Airbus.

Another irrational fear situation that ended up setting off serious alarm bells in my head.  I was on a flight about 2-3 or so years after 9/11 and am almost certain I was on a "test" flight for a certain terrorist organization.    My wife picked up on it too, and we discussed what we would do.  Flight Attendants were switched on too, and I could tell they were giving those guys extra attention.  A lot of non-verbal communication between the crew when it came to these guys.  They tried to congregate in the fwd and aft galley areas a couple of times and were quickly sent back to their seats.

Pretty much zero chance they were going to do anything, but I was not going to take any chances.

It was kind of chilling to be having in a meeting a month or so later with our Sales VP, and hear him share similar stories of what I saw through his conversations with Airline executives.  Then a few months later I got pulled into a meeting at work to learn about a few other things they were doing to get a 9/11 v2.0.  We were being approached to develop "countermeasures" for the things they were trying.

Ugh, The View.  What a bunch of squawkers!  He stood his ground and made Sunny Hostin look like an idiot.

I have never heard of Coleman, but I completely agree with his argument.  It's quite simple:  By focusing on class rather than race, you are essentially still tending to the needs of the historically discriminated communities without all the justifiable blowback of race based policy.  I do not know why that is so hard for some to understand.

Focusing on commonality rather than differences yields a better society.

But, you know what comes next...

Those at the top do not want us working together.  A divided nation is an easily led nation.

Flying right now does not appeal to me at all.  With a husband retiring in a few months I don’t want to be on a plane.  It’s crazy out there.

Doing the same thing next week flying to Charleston with only one real option from SEA.   Tried to put it out of my mind but you just increased my anxiety again.  😀

Yeah I'm going to Charleston as well.  Pretty much the only options are Alaska and Delta, and Delta used to be my airline before we started flying to Montana a lot.  Delta did have a couple of options on the A321 when I looked a month or so ago, but that's never a guarantee.  Planes have mechanical issues all the time and get shuffled around, so even if I booked on a Delta Airbus flight, a Boeing could be sitting there waiting for me at the gate.

I think my favorite MX issue was a Horizon E175 that had computer issues when it sat overnight in freezing weather (the flight was in December).  The solution was to do a full reboot of the aircraft: shut everything down, disconnect the batteries (which is just a button push on an airplane), and unplug from ground power.  Kinda weird to be sitting on a dark plan at 5am on the KBLI tarmac.  It was so quiet you could hear a mouse fart.

It worked but we were very late and I just made my connecting flight to SNA.

The only time I get prescription anxiety meds is when I need to fly. Most likely due to the fact that my first ever flight happened a week after the United DC-10 crashed in Iowa.
And of course that first plane I ever stepped foot on was a Northwest air DC-10.
Then I flew on an Alaska Air MD-80 a few weeks before that Alaska Air MD-80 (that could have been the same one) crashed into the pacific. Ever since then I have needed meds since I figured my luck was running out. Now, give me an Airbus or a Boeing 737 700 or older.

If it makes you feel any better, there hasn't been a major U.S. plane crash since 2009. An amazing testament to how safe air travel has become, almost down to a science. The bigger picture shows that even with the questionable recent record of certain companies, the safeguards are overwhelmingly doing their job.

Who cares. He grew up around rural folks and hasn’t forgotten where he came from. I understand you can’t relate to that. To you and other democrats “working people” is code for criminals, welfare recipients, and illegal immigrants. To the rest of us it means people who actually move this nation forward.

I'm not the one who constantly uses that phrase as if you're the spokesperson of every person who works.

Aka a fraud, just like that senate candidate.

First of all, that article was about more than just the lunch issue - they're trying to pass laws to reduce workers' compensation when injured on the job and reducing unemployment.

Second, how does telling people who work they don't need a lunch break being on the side of the worker, as you like to claim to be?

The people who wanted the LA law changed were the rich fat cats you sh*t on in previous (and I'm sure future) posts.  See what you say about Tim.  See what you said about my aunt.

Quote

First-term state Rep. Roger Wilder, R-Denham Springs, who sponsored the child labor measure and owns Smoothie King franchises across the Deep South, said he filed the bill in part because children want to work without having to take lunch breaks. He questioned why Louisiana has the requirement while other states where he owns Smoothie King locations, such as Mississippi, don't have them, and criticized people who have questioned the bill's purpose.

You couldn't be more of a fraud if you tried.

Leftists only pretend to care about people. Their classic strategy is to claim concern for some group, and use that group to fool people — specifically, naive liberals, who share few values with the Left but have frequently served as useful idiots.

Socialists don't really care about workers

  • In the USSR they disbanded independent labor unions and outlawed strikes
  • The CCP claimed to care about peasants, but slaughtered about 60 million of them
  • Today in California, the leftists make citizens pay huge taxes to provide free healthcare for illegal immigrants, including kids who think they are trans and get their sex organs chopped off and replaced with fake ones of the opposite gender
  • In California they have also made the minimum wage so high that companies are laying off workers because they can't afford to pay them that much

Teacher's unions don't care about students

  • During the pandemic they shut down schools for up to 2 years even though COVID was not dangerous for kids. They were angry when they had to open up. Poor students fell behind because they could not do online courses
  • They oppose school choice even though most students support it
  • They make it nearly impossible to fire incompetent teachers
  • Teachers coach students to hate themselves, their country and their religious traditions and sexualize young children. If you disagree you're called racist, homophobic, transphobic and other names.

Civil rights organizations don't care about Black people

  • Like teacher's unions the NAACP opposes school choice, even though 73% of blacks support it
  • They consider it racist to be colorblind, or believe that skin color is no more significant than hair color or eye color

Feminist organizations don't care about women

  • Major feminist organizations support men who say believe are women participating in women’s sports, even though there's more cisgender women who oppose this than trans people who support it
  • If you disagree with this view, you are called transphobic and could lose your job
  • They say career is more important than marriage and family, and women can do just fine without a man to love

LGBQTIA+ organizations (e.g. Queers for Palestine) don't really care for LGBQTIA+ people

  • They support Hamas even though Palestinian queers have no rights; they face persecution and even death if they expose themselves to their society
  • In Israel, queers are by far the safest, happiest and freest in the Middle East
