PDX has dropped to 34 with snow, visibility down to 1.5 miles, they would definitely be getting some accumulation now if this were before 8am or after 5pm.

Still impressive to see in the late morning in March.

On the bright side, their record low max of 41 is probably toast today.

A forum for the end of the world.

I’m hoping they can stay at or below 38 for a high. Would make this the coldest March day since 1993 I believe. And the coldest day this late in the season since I don’t know when.

Euro definitely going in a different direction at day 10.

This feels like the last six years, except rather than the PNW being a magnet for ridging it’s now switched to troughing.

Still nice... except Portland stays colder than everyone else.

Here is day 9...

And for reference... here was the 00Z EPS mean for days 10-15:

Cliff Mass just said not to rush to the supermarket. Only slushy accumulations on the grass above 500ft.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!
