March 2019 Weather Discussion in the PNW

With all the publicity Shohei Ohtani has gotten for being a pitcher/hitter, JO, in today's game, would have been better but was never really allowed to pitch in the Show.

I'm skeptical that Ohtani will do both for more than 5 more years.

Just got home from there yesterday...I was dying after a few innings in the stands at the M's game on Sunday....and it was only around 75*.

SOB struck me out twice in a row the only time I ever faced him. I hated hitting lefties, and he had a nasty fastball that ran in on my hands.

BTW, his coach at WSU wore a d**n batting helmet in the 3rd base coaching box too.

I never realized he was such an amazing pitcher. I see he we 23-2 his first two years in college.

Guess it's time tell your parents to move to Eugene

Eugene is a stunningly beautiful city. The McKenzie River is just heavenly and there is nothing like game day at Autzen. Closer to the Cascades and the beach then PDX too. And enough homeless people and drugs to remind a PDXer of home.

Just noticed Eugene is currently reporting light snow.

I'm supposed to be in Phoenix Saturday and then Flagstaff for 3 days before 4 more days in Phoenix...Like all family vacations I am currently frantically planning a way to cancel the trip that won't trigger my wife. Like all the times before I will end up going, be miserable for a day or two and then have a really good time.

Why cancel it?

Sounds like me. I never like the idea of traveling and always have to be talked into it. Then once we go I always have a good time and wonder why I was such a ****** about it to begin with.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

Snow melting as it’s falling, warm long range EPS maps, and thread consuming sports talk. This is what we call the Jesse trifecta!

Is winter over now?

I usually can't wait for our vacations to start... particularly if its cold and raining (or snowing) here and we are going some place warm and sunny.

If that’s not BREAKING NEWS I don’t know what is.

hey man it’s good if it’s snowing where I’m at :) bodes well for everyone’s snow chances tonight if it’s snowing within a mile of the water means it’s gonna cold enough for everyone to probably see snow

There’s just a dusting now but it’s 34 here pretty unexpected

The Euro said you'd be pushing 50 right about now.

We'll see after he comes back from TJ surgery

I assume he'll be fine, but I think eventually the wear will start to take it's toll and they'll shut down one or the other. But we'll see!
