The second half of June looks more gloomy than the first definitely. you probably should have gone earlier in the month.I think some rain would qualify as “ good” weather right now. And whether we get anything meaningful is still yet to be seen. Don’t wish it away before it even starts. The last few days have been mostly sunny and close to 80 down here, so it’s not like we are aching for warm and sunny weather or anything. Yeah I agree we could use some rain however I was more referring to warmer weather and sunny days without clouds and marine layers not rain really. It’s still kind of early to even see how much is going to fall the next 10 days or so obviously. Hope some rain comes but either way rain or not the first half of June is probably going to be better than the second half for camping, not that either half is bad weather to be honest. ShawniganLake
Not doubting a 0.5"-0.75" event could happen, but the odds of it verifying don't look good. Remember the ULL earlier this month? GFS runs were repeatedly showing 1" in 24-48 hours for Eastern Washington County (with high CAPE values for a cold-core storm event, mind you). We got one 5-10 minute shower that dumped about 0.1" and that was it. I'll believe it when I see it.You won’t have to worry about record cold highs without a good rain event happening.

Omegaraptor
I remember early April. The GFS models were showing 5-7” rainfall in 10 days for my area back at the end of March and beginning of April. It would have been incredible, had it actually happened. But nope, everything trended south to Eugene. While they got 7.5” that month, PDX failed to break 3” and Hillsboro didn’t get much over 3”. You really can’t have high hopes for weather events in the Portland area nowadays.

I just got through power washing the moss buildup off our stone retaining wall and steps a little while ago.
