Rubus Leucodermis
Went for a hike on Bowen Island yesterday. Thanks to Friday and Saturday’s overperforming rainfall, the woods was actually moist! It actually felt like June, not August! And check out this new BC wildfire risk map: I know we’re still behind on the precip totals, but the recent storm has made for a definite improvement in local conditions. Hopefully more to come. 2 1 Quote It's called clown range for a reason.

NWbyNW
Tons of wildfires in Canada. They are out of control and I worry that all the smoke amassing up there might make it down to the west coast in due time. I sure hope not. Right now all models showing it blow eastward for much of the week. Smoke is east of the Cascade crest though, but more at higher elevations. Thankfully not ground level. Wildfire wise, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California look pretty good right now. But it's quite literally HECK in Canada. Over 440 known fires with the majority not being dealt with by any crews. When I do my annual fire reports, we saw the last few years, British Columbia does next to no forest management to prevent these fires. 1
