Popular Post Sunriver Snow Zone
Amazing last couple of days at Mount Rainier, yesterday had off and on clouds, and today was clear in the morning and has gotten cloudy as the day hass progressed, but it's still okay out. Started at paradise yesterday and climbed to 10k feet to camp for the night, and got up 3 hours before sunrise today to get sunrise at the summit, then we decended to emmons glacier to freshen up our crevasse rescue skills ahead of our Denali trip, and then climbed back up for some views and ski'd down. Staying in the area for a couple of days so that on Saturday-Sunday we can do some more training in whiteout conditions on rainier. 16 Quote Coldest temp this winter: -7 Jan 13th Snow depth at Mount Bachelor (last updated April 29th) 88" Snow depth at my home (updated April 29th) late season 1"! 23-24 seasonal snowfall at home (updated April 29th) 92"!! Most transit systems in most cities I have been to have ticket vending machines that take credit card or cash. No need for apps. Cascadia_Wx
Meanwhile, what a lovely and variable day here. Morning fog, then sunshine giving way high clouds and mild temps, with rain moving in by late afternoon and temps quickly falling into the 50s. 65/41 spread. 54 with rain currently. Really nice vibe out there this evening with rain falling and everything being so lush and green. Really like the lighting on these cloudy or rainy evenings in May or June. Have picked up .20” on the day so far and counting. 2 1 Quote Summer grows while Winter goes
