hawkstwelve
Mike Macdonald on what finding coaches with a "growth mindset" means... "It's about trying to push the envelope about what they're trying to do and what they're trying to accomplish. So people that just have the mindset of, 'Hey this is the way we've always done it, this is the way to do it, and we're stuck on that' is just not appealing to me and the guys we are trying to have join this organization." In regards to how Grubb fits that mold... "When you look at his track record and the things that he's done, they are always trying to find new ways schematically and through relationships and how he operates to help his guys." While not a direct shot at Pete Carroll, I couldn't help but think of him when Macdonald said the above. Pete was very much in that vein of 'this is what we do, this is how we do it, and we won't change'. It's pretty exciting and refreshing to hear our new head coach flip that philosophy on it's head and go in a completely different direction.
