It's absolutely dumping out now, 28F with moderate snow. If this keeps up even an half an hour we'll easily double our snow total. The only way you could even tell it was ever close to snow was with a windshield splat test. Never even got to the point where snow was visible in the air. From the looks of it there's already about 3" of very powdery snow on the ground, 2 of which fell in the past 30 minutes. Still snowing moderately and the temperature and the temperature has dropped to around 27F. If this keeps up much longer your call may have been too low. I would not call this a flash freeze... that is usually reserved for a deep plunge into arctic air and not slipping down to 30 and now up to 33 at 9 a.m. The wind is picking up here now... lots of snow falling off the trees which is cool to watch. They pop up in cloud of blowing snow.
