Wow.  GFS has plenty of cold onshore flow headed our way for the next 10 days or so.  This could bury the foothills in areas around 1600 feet.  I'm considering removing the fork.

 

My yard and lawn are still completely dormant.  Nothing growing at all.  I haven't seen that for years this late in the year.

Looks like there's some potential for some brief slushy accumulation for the southern valley.  I'd love to see the Wx Bell map.

You guys do well with cold, wet westerly flow. Not a ton of shadowing and you have the extra elevation in the south valley. EUG will probably see a few inches out of this pattern.

Pretty strong signal in the ensembles for a 5-7 day cold snap.

Nice snow event showing up for the Puget Sound region Monday morning. A lot of lesser chances before that also. I like the fact we have had 4 consecutive runs showing the more serious cold later next week as well.

Dropped to 36F and raining up here. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of cold rain the next few days and not much snow. I just need a bit more to top 10" for the year which would be a nice statement.

Looking pretty obvious any heavier showers will be snow for many places tonight. A couple of places right at sea level around Vancouver Island have dropped to the low 30s already. A lot of temps in the mid 30s showing up over NW WA and a c-zone signature on the current observation map.
