I’m in Florida from Dec 26th to Jan 2nd. Expect a massive eastern trough/blizzard sequence around that timeframe. No doubt.

Glad to see the GFS is back to showing a blizzard in the long range lol

Yeah... we almost got the GFS within 5 days on yesterday's runs and now we are back to 14 days out.    Long way to go.   But at least its not going zonal and there is tons of potential.

I am pretty sure the 12Z EPS will go in the same direction unfortunately.    But I would love to be wrong about this one.

The 00z EPS was pretty fantastic. I don't really see it outdoing that run. I think it'll be slightly worse but still good

GFS has a big cold bias but even still, the next 15+ days are going to be brutal here after today.

Some of y’all like to spray shit all over snow weenies clutching a model with a nasty case of cold bias. Then you’re are more than happy to extrapolate a 20 degree warming trend with southerly flow based off of two frames 320 hours out.

Sometimes I hate it here.

It looks like everything is zeroing in on a decent low/mid 30's cold spell Dec 19 to 21 for coastal WA & OR. Some precip likely to place itself in the runs 72 hrs before the event. Not an extended epic cold or snow, but yet another respectable event this season.

Come back late Friday. The 12/17 00 runs will write this chapter. Meanwhile, the sun is out all week! 🤣🤣🤣

The Oregon Coast mostly stays with highs in the 40s. Portland and the Willamette Valley are not coastal.

Interesting. $99 a month is not bad. I have phone with Hughesnet too since there is no cell service here and it’s $135 a month, but with that kind of connection I could probably just use some kind of internet phone service or something…

Hughesnet is the biggest steaming pile of crap we ever had.  Dumped it after a couple of weeks, it was horrific.
