April Weather in the Pacific Northwest

Hopefully this will be the general theme throughout May...

I agree... and I am not hoping for record heat like we have seen this week but rather just some extrended dry spells and pleasant temps (60s and 70s).

Anywhere 71-75 would be perfect, 76-80 would be icing on the cake...

Tim must have made a second account so he can talk to himself.

Not everyone on here wants to it to be dark and chilly and drizzling all summer.    Most of you do... but there are a few of us who like something different in the warm season.    ;)

The pattern you guys are praising would lead to record warmth in May. Which I know is all you will accept from our climate during the warm season.

And this a bad thing after steady rain and gloom for weeks on end?

What pattterns would you cheer for if you wanted it to be generally sunny and dry across the region?

If you want 80s every day between now and October you are living in the wrong climate.

I thought we were all trolling...

Not really on vacation... my sons are at home and we have just tagged along to my wife's conference at this resort because its such a nice location.   I am working part of each day from here.

Warmest morning yet. Sitting at 56 already at 7:30. Should make 80 today unless the east wind isn't strong enough to push out any marine influence.

Going to be watching like a hawk for signs of a marine push. Eugene has a SW wind at 10mph right now. I don’t think they will hit 80 with this heatwave.

I could see some areas between OLM and Seattle making a run at 85.

I could see that. At 64 now with largely an E to SE wind across northern King County.

One of my friends here who is marrying a Colorado native just asked me what the weather in OR is like in late August. Turns out they took their first trip together to OR last spring and loved it, and decided they want their wedding there.

I told her August is usually quite dry and sunny, and there would probably actually be a higher chance of rain here in CO...but I'd have to talk to Phil and get back to her.

Some people only feel content when it's dark and dreary and cold. I am not one of those people. ;)

I think the majority of people enjoy a variety of weather. Not a multiple choice test where you have to pick one from dark, wet, cold, warm, dry, humid, windy, etc.

Of course, there are those who only ever want one type of weather - minor mental illness if you ask me.  ;)

3 days of very warm weather after months of generally wet and cloudy and chilly weather IS the variety. Not sure why someone would wish it away just to get back to the weather that has dominated for so long. Unless you are usually only content when it's dark and dreary and cold. Which is fine I guess. To each their own.

Yeah I think that's pretty true.

Only type of weather I care not to deal with at all is hot and humid anything else is fine.

I think you try to polarize it more than reality dictates. Even Jesse and Andrew enjoy sunny days that aren't unseasonably hot. Andrew is just trolling half the time anyway, just like Mossman.

There were two weeks of unusually damp/cloudy weather this spring. Other than that, it's been drier/sunnier than normal, with plenty of variety. So I'd say in the big picture, most people should be getting enough to meet reasonable expectations, if they look at it objectively.

And they try to polarize it way more than reality dictates as well. So it goes here.
