July 2018 Weather in the Pacific Northwest

Recommended Posts

Really hoping the GFS is having issues here. Would be a pretty big waste of potential for some decent rainfall, and a chance to avoid another hideous smoke filled late summer.

A person could reverse that and say that the models showing heat would be a pretty big waste of potential for some decent heat and the chance to have a smoke filled late summer...

Good point farmboy. There are actually many situations and weather conditions in which a speedo would be entirely inappropriate. I guess he didn’t think of that before making his 100% serious post.

He’s probably a rain lover too... <_>

Oh, Dewey....

Terribly!

Might have to troll you even more with the next warm spell.

I guess I'll have to pack the rain gear even for Lake Chelan.

Speedo if the GFS is correct.

Glad I'm not packed yet.

A pleasant 76 here right now.

This month didn’t seem all that special or hot to me...but I guess I’m wrong...a lot apparently.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Another heat wave or two would be nice.

I'm hoping they are in shorter spurts though. Not 9 or 10 days worth of 85+.

Stratus waiting in the wings.

The GFS, GEM and ICON all made that abrupt shift from showing that rain to basically nothing now by keeping most everything offshore. Unfortunately seems unlikely it is just a GFS hiccup. Still have King euro on the rain train at least.

Guess Jesse was right - the recent hot summers have totally warped your sense of normal PNW weather!

Makes me sick what this climate has become.

My brother drove from Coos Bay to Bend last week. Said he couldn't believe how many dead trees he saw in Douglas County.

I told him not to worry. It will be way worse next summer.
