Looks like a slight warm-up tomorrow as temps climb into the upper 70s to maybe 80F. Some severe weather is possible as well.

Here comes the rain due north. This would be a great scenario come Wintertime.

This evenings runs of the HRRR suggest that the storms that move through Iowa tomorrow afternoon could have heavy rain. Strong area of storms looks to move in around mid afternoon tomorrow. The HRRR suggests that many areas could get an inch or more of rain. Even CR is showing over an inch tomorrow. SPC also has eastern Iowa in a slight risk of severe weather tomorrow.

50F and raw this morning. Got some more rain last night and another round moving in now. Already the 7th wettest September on record here. Going to add to that before month end.

Hope that pattern shifts SE in time. Battle Creek's at 1.38" on the month, and I know I've had even less in Marshall. It's dry since getting missed in every direction last week.

Future radar looks a bit stormy here in SEMI. Lets wait and see how this will unfold later on this afternoon. Isolated tornadoes are possible.

I am having trouble uploading video. Storm dropped 0.96" in about 20 minutes. Winds were likely around 55-60, airport recorded wind of 54mph. There was an area of rotation that moved over my area, and a tornado warning was issued. Will maybe try to upload video to youtube.

This brings my September rainfall total so far to 9.16". Will likely add to that this weekend. Rainfall this weekend looks to be enough to push my rainfall total to over 10 inches for the month.

It's mornings like these when I enjoy sippin' on a warm cup of coffee.  Current temp of 51F, with a gusty W wind ushering a nice cool airmass today.  While I think this is overdone a bit, but the seasons first Freeze is on the table across portions of the northern sub Saturday morning.

@CentralNeb, looks like your wish of a chilly morning has finally arrived today in NE.  Lot's of upper 30's/low 40's showing up across NE.

I was just going to post that Tom, you read my mind.  I think we officially will have a low of 39 degrees in my town.  Just to my northwest they have been in a frost advisory.  The lowest temp I could find at 7 AM was 33 degrees at North Platte but might be some areas a degree or two cooler.  Had to grab a jacket this morning.  It was actually windy and chilly at my son's 7th grade football game last evening.  Been a long time coming and I'm enjoying it immensely.

GRR's zone actually had a some sub-freezing lows with the last cool-down. A small town inland recorded 30F that morning. Last Saturday I think it was?

It's been the coolest morning of the season since early June.  Temps have dipped into the upper 40's around here (48F) I believe has been the official low at ORD.  Patchy Frost is looking likely in the far NW burbs Saturday morning.  #Autumn is here...early next week is going to feel amazing after this cool stretch of weather.
