At my location the storm was pretty wimpy. I still have power and a tree didn’t fall anywhere close by.

 

I parked my truck under a big tree hoping it would fall on it so I could get a new one. Guess it’s time for a gas can and a match. The insurance company will take care of the rest.

00z GFS was very close to being outstanding. We just need the ridge merger Day 7 to occur a touch sooner. Real anxious to see the 00z EURO tonight. If it continues its trend of being less progressive than the GFS it could be a great run.

Dynamic day continues, just had a heavy hail shower roll through covering the street a bit and dropped the temp to 38 degrees.

And now it is clear and it's getting frosty out there, frozen car roofs and crunchy grass, 33 degrees!!

I ran some errands this afternoon in shorts and a sweatshirt and was perfectly comfortable.      Stood in line at Safeway next to some lady who looked like Nanook of the North... she was dressed like it was -20 with wind-driven snow.    I think she was annoyed with my attire too.

temps are actually pretty uniform but it’s probably at pretty low resolution. That airmass would be pretty darn chilly being on the east side of the ridge.

Strange, looks like most valley locations are in the low 40’s and upper 30’s currently. That is fairly chilly.
