not as good as the gfs here but has snow consistently over me for nearly 36 hours. If that verfies but is just a bit juicier I could get buried

1-2 inches for PDX? I'll take what I can get. Somehow still feel that won't verify for the whole metro area. Feels like a 500ft+ event for any consistent results.

Eurasia gets frigid too..and so does the Arctic. There’s cold air all over the place, lol.

 

Also a big gold Siberian high descent and EAMT swing/IPWP MJO genesis event. Good golly miss molly.

I think you'll do well compared to most people around town because you live in the West Hills. Even if we barely get anything, the cold weather isn't going away anytime soon. Lots of cold and snow opportunities seem to be in the cards for the PNW.

I feel like it's worth noting that the FV3 picked up on this first round of cold almost 12 days ago and more or less stuck to it this entire time. That's a pretty impressive result as far as the broader pattern goes.
