Going snowshoeing today. Will be a nice break from checking this forum every 5-10 minutes as I have this weekend so far. I expect I will have a lot to catch up on tonight. Hoping for good trends!

The best way to watch this unfold is to be out in it as it unfolds. Have a great time

You can tell its cold... snow is having no problem sticking in Bellingham.

You know it's gonna be good when it starts sticking to the pavement right away.

Transition complete! All snow!!

Nice.

This could be a really snowy day for you if that c-zone parks itself over your area.

The 12z GFS delivers. We're in for an extended period of cold and lots of snow.

Okay I don't want to be mean or anything but you are literally sharing 300+ hour GFS maps.

It actually hasn't delivered.  Still two weeks out.  Why would you hang your hat on that?  We can't nail down today yet.   Your absolutes are deafening.  great fun to watch but it hasn't delivered a thing yet.

Gale watch for puget sound. This is going to be a good north wind event for puget sound WITH SNOW.

Wow... the WRF shows the wind just roaring down the Sound tomorrow morning and there is snow being shown at the same time.

And look at western Whatcom County!

Is there a law against posting maps? This is a weather forum.

It has a strong chance of happening. Normally I wouldn't hang my hat on it but the consistency of the EPS in the long range is something I never seen before. This week will be the warning shot, the target shot will be delivered within 2 weeks IMHO.

This has the potential to be in the top 3 north wind events since 1990. I said it few days back this is alot like November 2010 just a little different track.

Still looking like a trace to an inch is the best bet for PDX metro. Hopefully just an appetizer for what is to come later this week.

Honestly with how boring this winter has been, if i can get the ground coated in solid white (quarter inch or more) i'll be perfectly happy with this first system.

Dirty dog paws transition to snowy dog paws

How’s the dog doing?

Dog is better, thanks!

Slushy accumulations have begun. Down to 33.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Yeah this is more or less a bonus at this point since I had already written off this winter. I think your odds of an inch or so are pretty robust given your elevation.
