Lying like this is really unlike you dude. Not a good thing to see.

OK Jesse. Sure.

I was out of control too with my comment about frost and fall colors. Just flew off the handle there. :)

Just need to relax. You were getting out of hand there.

Seriously though, there was no rant that I deleted. I don’t like seeing you make stuff up like that. Overall honesty is one of the few bastions of integrity you have here. Pretty much everything you post I can assume to be true, which is important (even though you play with context quite a bit).

We should try to move on now. But I really don’t like seeing you resorting to lying.

Point is... I deleted a comment about enjoying frost so not to give the appearance of picking on Jim. And after deleting one sentence... you have now portrayed it as an angry rant and there is nothing I can say about it. I just said people enjoy things that happen all the time.

Turnaround is fair play with you.

Well you must have deleted those several lines for some reason...probably because it made the post come off pretty spazzy and you realized it in retrospect. Completely fabricating a similar scenario for me is not turnabout. That’s just lying.

You are lying again now.

If it was so valid then why did you delete it?

This petty crap could literally go all day with you. Your ability to drag it out is inexhaustible. The only way to win is not to play, as many here have asututely observed. I am going to disengage. Have a good day, and try to soak up those rays!

Because it was not worth making the obvious comparison to people who get giddy over frost even though it happens every year.

Good Lord.

I decided not to bother... bad choice!!!

Had to run to Ace Hardware and took a little extra time down in North Bend to get some spring pics. I was not the only one doing that either.  :)

68 at SEA and in 68 in North Bend today.    Looks like Issaquah was the warm spot in the area with 69.

SEA was freakishly warm today.   At least 15 degrees warmer than every other station.  B)

Looks like a golf course.

Their 40 acres are amazing! The real intense landscaping is behind their house, that view is from the front. Lots of grass and low maintance trees.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Looks pretty lifeless and sterile for such a normally lush area. Golf course was a good description.

I'd take Tim's yard any day.

Like I said...second half of the 40 acres behind the house is stunning with tons of color. They keep that front area low maintenance due to extreme slope. The view of Puget Sound, Camano Island and north is what is stunning about that front view from their deck.

Sorry I disappointed you with that awful pic.

Isn’t SeaTac airport actually cooler than Bellevue and farther east in summer because it’s right on the 50 degree pool of water?

I know that Issaquah is usually the warmest place in the area on sunny summer days... Bellevue is warm too.    Both seem to run warmer than SEA most of the time in the summer.   Issaquah is usually warmer than North Bend too.

Phil might say its fake warmth... but it feels pretty real when you are on Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington.    And its probably here to stay until humans are wiped out.

Sort of like saying an inversion is fake cold... when it feels pretty d**n real.

That’s accounted for in the station climatology, dummy.

SEA constantly running warmer *anomalies* than surrounding stations = fake (UHI) warmth. #facts

Accept it and move on.

Accept what?   Jared did the analysis and I completely agree with him and have repeated his findings many times.   I have no doubt that UHI exist there.

But you throw out everything.   If its 50 degrees at SEA one morning and 32 at OLM... that is all UHI and SEA is a joke according to you.  The temp being recorded is physically real and maybe it would have been 48 without UHI... but the real reason its much warmer than OLM in that situation is geography,    You never acknowledge that.

You spent hours a couple weeks ago telling us that the 79 at SEA was not real (despite being even warmer that some other stations).    OK... so maybe it would be 77 or 78 without UHI.    It was still very warm... and not just at SEA.     Some rural stations in the foothills were over 80.

Upcoming weather pattern has the potential to be pretty active. After all the February weather excitement March has been pretty dull in comparison besides the bit of early March snow.

Tacoma WA elevation 300’

Monthly rainfall-3.56”

Warm season rainfall-11.14”

Max temp-88

+80 highs-2

+85 highs-2

+90 highs-0

Still blows my mind that we had a high temp 35 on the 6th and 38 on the 8th and then went to 77 on the 18th and 79 on the 19th last month. We had an inch of snow here in Tacoma and nearly hit 80 all within 2 weeks of eachother. It didn’t even take a full week and it was suddenly like February never even happened and now all the trees around my neighborhood are starting to catch up.

Places up in elevation near the mountains had snow for almost 2 months practically. On the 18th of last month there was still near a half foot of snow at about 600’ in elevation in graham WA. Most low elevation places like graham and other foothill cities have definitely melted off now but it’s still pretty impressive.
