12Z NAM is coming in very similar to 06Z solution through 39 hours. Seems like DVN didn't like the idea of the system being this far north, so it will be interesting to see if there is any shift south with today's model runs.

Phasing systems are rarely ever good for Nebraska. Phasing always happens east of here. Normally our big storms are big ones already as the eject out of the Rockies and not needing to phase with some northern piece of energy. There may be a major snowstorm for a lot of people on the board, but not for Nebraska and when this thread was started, the models were showing a big one even for here. Yay for another nuisance snowfall

Heck thats 6 inches verbatim here.  Not buying anything until full sampling.  Been burned to many times this winter. Totally different set-up from what we have seen this year though.

I hear ya on that one.  Finally seeing some decent blocking and with a moisture laden system like this one, we may score a coupe and finally get a significant to cover a lot of real estate for this sub-forum.

Hopefully the pacific vort stays nice and strong (maybe get stronger for once) so it can dig.  That along with the artic vort will will decide how far north and amped we can get.  Quad cities to chicago should be money in this set-up. Hope it holds
