Except when you actually look at policy, centrist Democrats check all the boxes. Trumpist policies are objectively terrible and mostly non existent.

100000% on everything here. The bolded part is what Democrats are apparently refusing to understand. Democrats to women: "You are a woman so you must only care about abortion!" Democrats to Black men: "You are a black man so you must only care about systemic racism in this country!" Democrats to Latinos: "You are hispanic so you must only care about..." Actually, I don't even know what their message was to Latinos. Democrats to young people: "You are young so you must only care about climate change!" Due to their incessant reliance on identity politics they simply cannot comprehend how a Latino/woman/young/black person might care about, oh I don't know, the economy, legal immigration, prosperity, security, no foreign wars, the list goes on. That's why you always hear them ask (heard it already this morning) "how could you vote against your own self interests?" Until they realize that their usual base can't fit into neat little boxes I anticipate they will continue to struggle with working class voters across demographic profiles.

The Democratic Party is definitely the party of policy at this point. Not sure how you could argue that. No censorship, wokeness or pro war over here.
