It's pretty crazy to me that the same batch of energy dumping north of the equatorial rising hadley cell can either cause a generational windstorm or harmlessly glide to the northeast depending on slight differences in angle of attack. Same energy transfer, just different results, over different swathes of land.

I really think there is some missing initialization data. It isnt like the GFS or ICON were painting a similar path that the Euro decided to take. The fact we see this showing up on mesoscale models seems to paint a "threading the needle" scenario for a wide spread event. If tomorrows 12z shows nothing from the Euro, then I guess I'll consider this a dud. Interestingly though, the Spire and UK show the low taking the windier NAM track but with next to nothing mixing down to the surface.
