Did just notice they put a WSW for 1-2 feet 1500-2500' through Friday. I would be happy with a lot less than that.

I mentioned that earlier. The wrf sure shows it. You are 1500 right?

Right??? I going to borrow some kids and bring them to my house to take pictures of the snow when no one else has any, and say "look, my kids love the snow so much". But secretly we all know that it is really I who loves it the most.

My kids actually like snow more than me.

I enjoy the snow pics tim posts. And he is is proud of his children. Big deal.

I do too. It's great to see other members enjoying snow.

Better to live vicariously through them than let jealousy dominate.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

The weekend looks dry now... but there has to be a good overrunning event at some point.     Amazing how much that can favor the coastal areas.

That's always surprised me, but it really does make sense except for the immediate coastline.

Heavy precip hits the coast unimpeded right as a storm moves in while there is still solid offshore flow.

Often it takes 4-6 hours for solid precip to hit the Sound and by that time the flow is turning Southerly. Precip also isn't usually as heavy as the Coast.

That makes sense... never understood the mechanics.

Perhaps! Precip is quite intense now and the temp has dropped to 37...think I can almost make out some lumps in the moderate precip.

I saw several things hit my windshield tonight that were not raindrops but were not snowflakes either.  That makes this event the greatest snowmaker I've seen around here in over a year.  So call me happy.

0z Canadian also looked pretty good for snow in the northern half of the Puget Sound/far southern Canada.

This is looking more and more like Puget Sound north event (at least initially)...though areas with a little elevation further south could do well.

What time frame are you talking about?

Basically tomorrow night through Christmas morning.

Anyhow, the Euro is coming in a little stronger and further west with the trough than the GFS, which is good to see. Wish I could see precip output.

Only those with Weatherbell secrets know the precip, its like a secret society, shhh, I hope no one sees that I talked about the society.

Only out to hour 33 on Wunderground, but it shows a couple inches of wet snow for Bellingham and Skagit County tomorrow night.

EDIT: It shows another couple inches for Bellingham Christmas Eve morning with a decent amount of moisture around. Marginal temps though.

Tim, do you know what your area averages in the way of seasonal snowfall?

I think maybe 60 inches... but its feast or famine around here.

2007-08 we had over 150 inches but the last couple years we have had maybe 10 inches total.

Looking back at the historical records that seems to be norm... crazy amounts of snow and then almost nothing.
