My temperature just keeps climbing as the moisture streams into the area. Snow Wizzard Man tells me my thermometer is off by a few degrees but it is reading 42 in my back yard. That would take a hell of a lot of wet bulb cooling to bring snow down to the surface.

 

The NWS mentioning Puyallup in their write up was the kiss of death.

This map seems to count ZR as snow though so keep that in mind.

Just giving you a hard time. Although I think there is a bit of a misconception here that we have done really well this winter so far in Portland/Vancouver. That hasn't been the case, south of Salem have been the big winners.

No. Wet bulb cooling can only sustain itself for so long.

It was probably colder than modeled so the NOAA, Al Gore and the Illuminati turned on the offshore heater and dried out the atmosphere.

Radar is really filling in nicely now. Most in the the PDX area should see some steady moderate snowfall through the afternoon hours.

We should have government mandated and regulated weather fairness laws.

Temp steady at 28, dp 26.  Marys Peak at 4100 ft also reporting 28 dp 27 - fairly isothermal lower atmosphere at present.

There is no advantage to elevation today.   And in fact its actually a negative in most places.
