SilverFallsAndrew
Sure. The dewpoint was in the low 50s. Nobody complains about sneaking in a 70-degree day in April. It was warmer here in early March... and just about the same in the middle of January. Half our office left early today for no other reason than to get out and enjoy the day, You work with a bunch SoCal transplants. I work with native Oregonians. I hear things like this throughout the year at my office. "I sure hope it snows.""This summer has been to hot.""I can't wait for fall!""We need some rain.""I miss the rain.""I enjoy the sunshine, but if it could stay below 85 I would be happy." No joke dude. Get out more. Jesse
You work with a bunch SoCal transplants. It’s funny, I’ve worked with many people who have the same sentiment. Very common opinions among PNWers.
TT-SEA
These prism maps are often very reliable. Thank you for bringing some reality to this discussion. Are you jealous of the pleasant summer average up here? Of course the UHI is slowly nudging that upward. Looks like everywhere from Olympia to almost Everett and out to the Cascades is in the same zone. Jesse
Most PNWers complain and are miserable when we get one nice day in the upper 60s in April between rainstorms? OK. Not specifically about today. Just comments like that in general are way more common than you might want to believe. Today was great though. We were down at Cottonwood beach near Washougal most of the afternoon. It definitely feels a little warm in the house tonight, though. Our thermostat was set at 68 but the indoor temperature rose to about 74 since it was so warm outside.

I prefer 75-82 and sunny in the summer. Although we definitely make the best of the hot days. And many people enjoy snow in the winter. Me included! Down here the average high peaks at 81-82.
TT-SEA
A little longer lasting ridging on the 00Z GFS in the long range. The middle of the country stays cold for the most part with one quick shot of warmth just to toy with them.
