bud2380
From what I can find on snow reports in central South Dakota it appears the storm significantly underperformed. There were widespread 12-24” projections and I’m seeing totals mostly 4-8”. It could be reports haven’t come in yet but based on the radar I’m not overly surprised. It just never organized as well over there. There were gaps in the radar

Snowshoe
Here's some pics. This storm is insane!!! My 4x4 truck stuck on the road because the snow is so packy. The local campus radio station UWSP 90FM has a weekend long trivia contest so I've got a bunch of people over. Law enforcement warning people not to travel anywhere. Trucks stuck on the highway and ditches. Wind is howling. Fun stuff. 1 Quote WISCONSIN RAPIDS Wisconsin

westMJim
Last report from MBS was sleet, snow winds out of the NE at 32 MPH with gust to 48 MPH. Here in Linwood there also is snow and sleet with very high winds. In Bay City there is flooding at the Bay shore and well inland by the rivers (the Saginaw river and other smaller rivers that flow into it) there is a trailer park on the bay shore and that is being evacuated along with people that live along the river. At this time it is voluntary. I went out and got breakfast and the roads are sleet covered and somewhat slippery. I have AWD going is not a issue yet but stopping could be a issue. In town there are reports of many trees down and power outages. Looking out the window we are getting sleet and snow and yes wind,
CentralNebWeather
Officers with multiple police departments have launched large-scale rescues in western Nebraska, helping more than 100 motorists who were stranded on Friday and Saturday. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, troopers worked with the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office, Sidney Police Department, Sidney Public Schools, Cheyenne County Emergency Management, the Nebraska Department of Transportation, and others, worked to clear all of the stranded vehicles on Interstate 80 and other highways. In total, more than 100 motorists were rescued. There were two major areas where vehicles had become trapped on I-80 near Sidney. One section was more than a mile and a half long and the other section was estimated to have at least 50 vehicles. Sidney Public Schools offered buses to assist in the rescue, which were escorted to the scene by patrol vehicles and snow plows. The assembled law enforcement officers went door to door, knocking on all vehicles and rescuing all of the occupants in freezing temperatures. The rescued motorists were taken to Light Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sidney or to a hotel of their choice. Road conditions remain poor to impassible in many parts of central to western Nebraska. At this time, Interstate 80 is closed to westbound traffic from Grand Island to the Wyoming state line.

The waves on LM are certainly wild and ferocious today...12-16ft peak wave heights... I am in the Bay City, MI area today and the wind is strong and steady here at this time. Water from the bay is being pushed inland and there is flooding at the bay and along the rivers leading into the bay. also many trees are reported down along with power lines. The roads are sleet covered and slippery. I am not far from the bay but there is a small river between here and the bay and the road is blocked off so there must be flooding by that little river.
